Former AMERICAN HEARTBREAK Guitarist CURTIS GRANT Passes Away At Age 39
March 26, 2007San Francisco rock musician Curtis Grant passed away last week at age 39. The immensely popular ex-guitarist for such notable bands as BLACK CHERRY, AMERICAN HEARTBREAK and TOUCH ME HOOKER lost his battle with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma on Tuesday, March 20. He is survived by his wife, two children and a huge list of friends and family.
Over the last 20 years, Curtis displayed a wide array of talents, playing in bands that ranged from hardcore punk, to glam rock to metal. Having devoted the last decade towards family life, Curtis had settled comfortably into his role as a father, and was devoting much time to his Native American heritage and community.
A benefit show for the family of Curtis Grant is currently being planned for Thursday, April 12 in San Francisco, with a Los Angeles memorial concert in the works for a later date.
